We’re very pleased to announce that Sapio Research has signed the MRS Net Zero Pledge! We are committed to ensuring that our organisation is Net Zero by 2026.
At Sapio Research, we take sustainability seriously. We formed our own internal Sustainability and Charities committee back in January 2022, and have taken a number of steps since then to become more sustainable both at work, and in our personal lives. A few examples include:
- Company Volunteering Day at the WWT London Wetlands Centre
- Using onHand – a Volunteering and Climate Impact Platform
- Ensuring that any company meals provided in the office are vegetarian
- Running a Lunch and Learn on how to be more sustainable
- Providing all employees with a reusable notepad
These are just a few things that we have done so far, but we are always working to improve our sustainable practices.
Therefore, when we heard about the MRS Net Zero Pledge, we realised how significant a moment signing the pledge could be for us as an organisation rather than as individuals. This pledge has given us a target to work towards, as well as some great tools to achieve this. For example, as part of this pledge, we have started using Compare your Footprint to track Sapio Research’s Carbon Footprint.
This information is vital for us to be able to use in our quest to become Net Zero by 2026. As one of 81 organisations that have pledged so far, we look forward to hopefully seeing more agencies sign up in the future!
We hope that by signing the MRS Net Zero Pledge, it shows our commitment to the environment and also inspires you to think about ways in which you could be more sustainable. Whether it’s something as small as making your next meal a plant-based one, always carrying a reusable bag and water bottle, or maybe even joining a local Cleanup in your area, it all makes a difference! With Earth Day coming up on 22nd April, why not take a look their top tips for some inspiration – let’s do this together!
